Community Rules
The rules that keep the Wickium Forum honest, useful, and worth your time. They're short. Read them once. Don't make us repeat ourselves.
Welcome
Wickium is a marketplace and community for traders. The forum is where you cut through marketing copy and figure out what actually works — by reading what other traders are saying, asking real questions, and getting straight answers.
That only works if the conversation is honest. These rules exist to protect that honesty. They apply to every post, reply, reaction, message, profile, image, and link you submit anywhere on Wickium — public threads, DMs, profile bios, all of it.
The Short List
- Be useful, not loud. Specific is better than hype.
- No shilling. If you sell it, disclose it. Then talk about it normally.
- No fake accounts. One person, one identity. No sock-puppets.
- No financial advice. Share what you do. Don't tell others what to do.
- No personal attacks. Attack the idea, not the person.
- No spam, no scams, no piracy, no porn. Use your judgment.
- Report, don't fight. See something off? Hit report and move on.
The Longer List
The same rules, with the why and the edge cases.
Be useful, not loud.
Posts that say “LFG 🚀🚀” or “this changed my life” without specifics are noise. Posts that walk through your setup, your wins and losses, what worked and what didn't — those are gold. We weight the second kind. Reactions, leaderboards, and trending all favor specific over loud.
Stay on topic.
Trading-adjacent threads are fine. Politics, religion, crypto-tribalism, and personal drama belong elsewhere. If a thread drifts, mods will steer it back; if it can't be steered, it gets locked.
No personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech.
Disagree as much as you want. Attack the argument, the product, or the strategy — never the person. No slurs, no pile-ons, no doxxing, no targeting someone for their race, gender, orientation, religion, or anything else they were born with.
No spam, scams, piracy, or NSFW content.
Pirated indicator code, leaked courses, “DM me for the file” posts, pump-and-dump signal groups, NSFW images, off-topic affiliate links — all instantly removed. Posters get one warning, then a ban.
One person, one account.
Sock-puppets are the fastest way to get permanently banned. We can detect them and we do check. If you have a legitimate reason to operate a second account (e.g., a brand account separate from your personal account), email [email protected] first.
Don't post other people's private information.
Real names, addresses, phone numbers, employer info, screenshots of private conversations — none of it. Even if you're “exposing” someone you think deserves it. Take it to the authorities, not the forum.
Not Financial Advice
Important. Nothing posted on the Wickium Forum is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Wickium does not vet user posts for accuracy. Trade at your own risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results. See the full Disclaimer.
You can share your trades, your P&L, your strategy, your reasoning — that's the whole point of the forum. What you can't do is tell other people what to buy, sell, or hold. Phrases like “I'm taking this trade because…” are fine. Phrases like “You should buy this” are not.
We're strict here because regulators are strict here. A retail trader losing money because they followed a stranger's “buy this now” post is the kind of thing that gets the entire forum shut down. Don't put us in that position.
Self-Promotion & Vendor Conduct
Wickium is a marketplace. Vendors are welcome here — that's the whole point. But self-promotion has rules, and we enforce them tightly because the entire value of this forum is that you can trust what you read.
If you sell it, disclose it.
Selling, affiliated with, employed by, or otherwise financially connected to a product? Say so the first time you mention it in a thread, every thread. A simple “disclosure: I built this” or “disclosure: I'm an affiliate” is enough. Vendors do not qualify for the Verified Purchaser badge — that's reserved for users who have paid for the product themselves.
No undisclosed astroturfing.
Creating accounts to hype your own product, paying others to post about it, asking friends or staff to leave reviews without disclosure — all instant permanent ban for the vendor and removal of the listing from Wickium. We take this seriously because it's the single fastest way to destroy a marketplace.
Stay in your own threads — mostly.
Promoting your product on its own dedicated forum or in a clearly relevant thread (someone asks “what indicator does X” and yours does X) = fine. Dropping links to your product in unrelated threads = spam. Mass-DMing users about your product = ban.
No bashing competitors.
You can compare features factually. You can't post threads whose purpose is tearing down a competing product. If a user asks for a comparison and you're a vendor, disclose it and answer honestly.
Affiliate links go through Wickium.
All affiliate-linked product references on Wickium use our /api/go redirect so we can attribute and track properly. Don't paste raw external affiliate URLs into forum posts — they will be auto-rewritten or removed.
Verified Purchaser Conduct
If you've actually paid for and used a product listed on Wickium, you can claim Verified Purchaser status on that brand. The badge shows next to your name on every reply, review, and rating tied to that brand — so other traders know your take comes from hands-on experience, not a drive-by opinion.
- You must have actually purchased and used the product. Free trials count only if you used the product as a real customer would.
- You must not claim the badge for products you don't use. Misuse forfeits the badge and any XP/tokens earned from it.
- The badge is not a vendor or brand-owner badge. If you're affiliated with the product, see “Self-Promotion & Vendor Conduct” above — use a written disclosure, not this badge.
- You can unclaim the badge at any time if you stop using the product.
Users who claim the badge fraudulently (claiming products they don't use to inflate their voice or game rankings) lose the badge, all tokens earned from it, and risk a permanent ban for repeat abuse.
AI-Generated Content
AI is a tool. Use it however you want when working on your trading. But on the forum:
- Don't pass off AI-generated text as your own analysis. Threads stuffed with ChatGPT-written paragraphs are easy to spot and add zero value. Specific personal experience is what people come here for.
- If a post is mostly AI-generated, label it. “AI summary of the thread” is fine when it's genuinely useful. AI-generated “reviews” or “experiences” are not.
- No AI-generated images of real people. Especially not other users, vendors, or public figures.
- Don't use AI to mass-generate replies, posts, or accounts. This is spam regardless of how good the output is.
How to Report
The forum is moderated by a small team of admins (see moderators) plus contributions from the community. We can't see every post in real time. You can.
Every reply has a report button (the flag icon). Hit it for:
- Spam, scams, or piracy
- Personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech
- Doxxing or sharing of private information
- Undisclosed self-promotion or astroturfing
- Off-topic content that's derailing a thread
- Anything that violates these rules
A reply that gets 3 reports from different users is automatically hidden pending mod review. False or malicious reports — reporting a post just because you disagree with it — are themselves a rule violation.
When Rules Are Broken
Moderation is graduated. We don't ban for first offenses unless they're severe.
- Warning. First minor violation. Reply hidden, user notified, no other consequences.
- Temporary mute. Repeat offenses, or one moderate offense. Cannot post for 24h–7d depending on severity.
- Suspension. Serious or repeated violations. Account temporarily locked, profile hidden, all posts hidden.
- Permanent ban. Severe violations (doxxing, scams, astroturfing) or repeated suspensions. Account closed, all posts hidden, IP and email blocked from re-registration.
Mod actions are logged. Banned users can email [email protected] once to contest the decision. We don't litigate appeals in public threads.
Tokens & XP Forfeits
Wickium runs an XP and token system that rewards good participation. Rule violations also cost you these.
- Hidden reply → forfeit XP and tokens earned from that reply.
- Suspension → forfeit current week's leaderboard standing.
- Permanent ban → forfeit all unspent tokens and XP.
- Caught astroturfing → forfeit all tokens, XP, and any drawing entries.
You can't earn XP or tokens during a suspension or while replies are pending mod review. Tokens are not currency, have no cash value, and are not redeemable for refunds — see the Terms of Service.
Contests & Drawings
Wickium runs official monthly drawings (see your account → drawings tab). These are the only sponsored contests on the platform. Anyone can also run an unofficial contest in their own thread, but:
- Don't require people to follow, share, or DM to enter — that's spam farming.
- Don't collect personal info beyond username — no emails, phone numbers, addresses.
- Don't pretend an unofficial contest is sponsored by Wickium.
- Wickium is not responsible for prizes that fail to deliver in unofficial contests.
Advertising & Outside Links
Forum posts can include relevant outside links (your YouTube video, your blog post, your TradingView script) when they add value to the discussion. What's not allowed:
- Banner ads or marketing graphics in posts.
- Links to competitor marketplaces or trading platforms in unrelated threads.
- Affiliate links to off-Wickium products without disclosure.
- Repeated posting of the same link across multiple threads.
If you want paid placement on Wickium — sponsored threads, featured listings, newsletter mentions — email [email protected].
Feedback
These rules will change as the community grows. If something here is wrong, missing, or being abused — tell us. Post in the official wickium thread, or email [email protected].
These rules are in addition to the Wickium Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything in those documents conflicts with anything here, the legal docs win.
