Market Data & Analytics Disclaimer
Wickium Market Stats and Taylor Levels are educational technical-analysis tools computed from public price history. They are not real-time, not predictions, and not financial advice.
Read this before relying on any number on these pages. The figures, bands, and levels shown in Wickium Market Stats and Taylor Levels are computed from delayed, end-of-day price history by a fixed formula. They are a technical-analysis aid for educational purposes only — not real-time data, not a forecast, and not financial, investment, or trading advice. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Verify every price against your broker or a live data feed before acting.
1. Overview
This disclaimer governs the market-analytics features on Wickium — including Market Stats (session statistics, day-type probabilities, distributions) and Taylor Levels (computed support/resistance envelopes, midpoints, and quarter lines). It supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our general Disclaimer and Terms of Service. Where this page and the general Disclaimer overlap, both apply.
2. What These Tools Are
Market Stats and Taylor Levels are impersonal, rule-based technical-analysis tools. Each value is produced mechanically from historical price data by a published formula. They do not know who you are, your account size, your risk tolerance, your positions, or your objectives, and nothing they display is tailored to your circumstances.
Taylor Levels in particular are one interpretation of a classic support/resistance method, not a universal or "official" formula. Different practitioners compute such levels differently; reasonable methods disagree. The levels are offered as a study aid, not as a definitive map of where a market will turn.
3. Data Source & Latest Close
These tools are computed from public end-of-day (daily OHLC) price history. The most recent price shown is the latest available daily close — not the current market price. It updates only when our data refresh job runs (currently a periodic batch, not a continuous live feed), so during market hours the underlying market may have moved substantially away from the figures shown here.
Source data may be delayed, revised, gapped, or inaccurate, and may originate from third-party providers we do not control. For some instruments — particularly futures — the daily values we use may not correspond exactly to a specific exchange's official regular-trading-hours settlement until a higher-resolution data feed is in place. Do not treat any price on these pages as the live, tradeable, or official price.
4. How Levels Are Computed
Taylor Levels are derived deterministically from prior price action (such as recent range and close) using a fixed envelope calculation — resistance and support boundaries, a midpoint, and intermediate quarter lines. Because the calculation is mechanical:
- The levels describe where the formula places boundaries based on past data — they do not forecast, predict, or guarantee that price will reach, respect, or reverse at any level.
- Markets routinely trade straight through computed levels, gap past them, or ignore them entirely.
- The labels "Resistance" and "Support" are descriptive geometry, not instructions to sell at one or buy at the other.
5. Not Real-Time
These pages are not a real-time quote system. They are not a trading terminal, order-routing system, or market-data terminal, and must not be used as the basis for time-sensitive execution decisions. Always confirm current prices, spreads, and liquidity in your broker or a dedicated live data feed before placing, sizing, or managing any order.
6. Backtested Hit Rates & Past Performance
Any "hit rate," accuracy figure, win rate, or historical-performance statistic shown alongside these tools is backtested — computed by applying the current formula to historical data after the fact. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Backtests carry well-known limitations: they benefit from hindsight, ignore slippage, spreads, commissions, and fills, can be curve-fit to the sample, and frequently fail to repeat in live markets. A figure that held historically may not hold tomorrow.
7. Not Financial Advice
Nothing on these pages is financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice. Wickium is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading adviser, or futures commission merchant, and is not a fiduciary. The analytics are not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, futures or options contract, cryptocurrency, or other instrument. Any trading decision you make is solely your own. See our full Disclaimer for the complete terms.
8. Specific Asset Risks
The instruments covered by these tools carry material, asset-specific risks. Among others:
- Futures. Highly leveraged; small moves can produce large gains or losses relative to margin, and you can lose more than your initial deposit.
- Cryptocurrency. Highly volatile and, in many jurisdictions, lightly regulated; subject to total loss including from exchange failure or theft.
- Foreign exchange (forex). Highly leveraged, traded around the clock, and often carrying counterparty risk to the broker rather than a regulated exchange.
- Equities and indices. Subject to gaps, halts, and volatility that can move price far beyond any computed level between sessions.
9. No Warranty on Accuracy
These tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. Wickium does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose of the data, calculations, or statistics shown, and disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from reliance on them. Calculations may contain errors, and data may be delayed or wrong.
10. Consult a Professional
Always consult a qualified, licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before making any trading or investment decision. The analytics here are general in nature and are not tailored to your individual financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance.
